Get involved with Oxjam Newcastle 2013!
Last year, the Oxjam Newcastle Takeover raised £6935.45 for Oxfam. Building on this success, 2013 could be even bigger and better. It just needs the right team to make it happen.
OXJAM NEWCASTLE ARE RECRUITING A NEW TAKEOVER TEAM FOR 2013!
Are you an expert on your local music scene? Do you have experience of organising live events? Are you a born leader? Passionate about raising lots of money for an amazing cause?
We’re on the hunt for talented individuals from all across the UK to become Takeover Managers – leading a team of dedicated volunteers to organise this year’s Takeover events. Successful applicants will be selected for their commitment, experience, and ability to create truly spectacular fundraising events, and appointed directly by us here at Oxjam HQ. The deadline for applications is Sunday 3 March.

Don’t fancy taking on a Takeover? Organise a one-off gig!
There are loads of ways to get involved with Oxjam and be a part of the UK’s biggest festival line up. You could organise your own event, where Oxjam give you all the support and guidance you need to put on a brilliant night.
Imagine a room full of people, all having an amazing time, enjoying great music and feeling great because they are helping Oxfam end poverty. Now imagine you’re there in the centre of it, feeling extremely proud because you made it all happen. Putting on an Oxjam gig is your chance to really make a difference while doing something you love.
Whatever you’re into – metal, dance, classical – as long as you’re into music Oxjam is for you. Your gig can be whatever you want it to be; big or small, on a street corner or in a concert hall. Raise money for an incredible cause, enhance your CV, and have fun with your mates while you’re at it. Oxjam give you everything you need to put on a great event, with tips, advice, training, and online resources.

- Event organisers: Up for the challenge of organising your own event next October? Oxjam events are what YOU make them. You don’t need experience, all you need is a love for music and plenty of enthusiasm and dedication!
- Volunteers: If you want to get involved but don’t feel quite ready to plan your own gig, why not help out at an event near you? Oxjam organisers are always in need of a pair of spare hands!
- Venues: Every year we work with amazing venue managers who donate their venues to our volunteer organisers for their Oxjam events. If you have a venue and you’d be interested in either organising or hosting an Oxjam event, please join our mailing list to find out more.
- Promoters: Are you a promoter with your own established club night? Then why not ‘tag’ your event during the month of October by including an Oxjam donation in the ticket price? Easy peasy
